Good old classic awesome Batman.. I didn't want to buy this game (and the rest of the series) because of it's console character and terrible mechanics, but as a DC fan I finally faltered and bought it on a discount. At first I thought it's actualy better than the garbage I expected it to be, but after doing all the challenges (4 times...) I hate this game even more than before I bought it. Overall it's not bad, but the controls are so terribly infuriating, I wish I had the disc so I could destroy it. 1 button does 10 different things, sometimes it depends on a situation, and sometimes it changes the moment you want to use it and it does something completely different ultimately making it impossible to finish the challenge and having to complete 2 previous challenges again as well, not because you made a mistake but because the game has idiotic controls. And changing it to something less ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Good luck, you can change it from outside of the game but the same button will still be used for 10 different things, just not the same button as before.STOP PORTING CONSOLE GAMES TO PC!. Can't stress how good this game is, both of the new Batman games are in my top 5 games of all time. Hours of fun and with the skin pack I get to play as the animated series Batman, love it so much.. Espetacular... Melhorou tudo em relação ao anterior! GOTY com certeza!!. Arkham City has been sat in my library since it pretty much came out. Although 99% of people who will read this review will probably already have City, it will just be a case of trying to persuade you to finally dust it off and complete it.I have poured thirty two hours roaming around Arkham, it's a stunning looking game, even for current standards. The Arkham style combat system is at its best again, similar to Asylum, you can pretty much master the system when you can work out how to time your attacks perfectly, but you can add in plenty of combos to keep things interesting. The main story is only one of the features here, I thoroughly enjoyed the main plot, with lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing right till the very end. Like most open world games, there is plenty to do apart from the main story though, tons of side missions, collectables and challenges that will keep this wonderful game going. If you have the Game of the Year edition, you'll also have all of the DLC too, while some of it is useless in my opinion (the challenges) the story side of it is well worth playing through as well. Basically, if you don't have Arkham City...well, where have you been for the past few years since it almost always goes on sale for at least 75% off, and if you are part of the majority who have it, I highly recommend you put aside a few days of your busy life and play this amazing master piece. If you found this review helpful, please consider giving it a thumbs up. You should play this if you like punching people in the face in a beautifully orchestrated ballet of third person shadowy vigilante violence. With big ears.. This game is an amazing follow up to arkham asylum and improves upon it in every way. More varied boss fights, a longer more interesting story and a much bigger open world style map with plenty of side missions which is something the first game was lacking. The combat is more responsive and has alot more combo moves and takedowns. The movment has been improved and there are alot of new abilities that help you navigate the world. There are also many new gadgets which also add more depth to the gameplay and make it more enjoyable. You can also play as catwoman as a secondary character but she doesn't have many moves or abilities when compared to batman and she feels a bit underused in the story. The biggest problem with the game is the huge number of collectables in the game which are really tedious to collect and are requiered in order to finnish one of the side missions. Dispite the few problems, overall this is an amazing game and probably the best game in the franchise as well as the best superhero game ever made.I definitely recommend it.. This is one game I will never get tired of playing. I've played this game more than 200 hours (goty and non-goty combined) and I can see myself playing it again and again in the future. It is my favorite game of all times and I'll try to tell you why it is.Let's start with the story. From the beginning to the end, it never slows down. Specially the ending is among the best I've ever seen. Though you can easily lose track of what you're doing because the game does everything in its power to distract you. There are so many things you can do apart from the story. Collecting trophies, solving riddles, beating up inmates, side missions. There are also challenge maps. These are seperate from main game and they are fun as hell. In fact they're so good, I spent more time in them than the game itself.Gameplay is expertly done. There are many different gameplay elements and none of them is less awesome than the others. Fighting is amazing. It is easy to learn but hard to master. You press one button to attack and one button to counter but the more you play the game the more you understand how strategic the combat is. Game throws all kinds of enemies at you and all of them require a different tactic to beat. Inmates with shields can only be attacked from above, ones who are carrying shock sticks can only be attacked from behind, armored inmates need to be stunned before they can be hit and so forth.Another big portion of the gameplay is predator encounters. These are so much fun. There are so many different ways you can takedown your enemies, you won't even notice you can do some of them. After you take out everyone but one, the real fun starts. The last guy just starts freaking out, shooting at his own shadow and so on. You truly feel like a predator in these moments, a non-lethal predator :)Visually, the game is stunning. It looks fantastic. In my opinion, this game has the best looking Batman ever. His appearance and animations are amazing. Even in combat you rarely see animations glitching. Soundtracks are just as good. They're truly epic and they make you feel like you're Batman! Voice acting is among the best. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill steal the show as Batman and Joker.I can write about this game all day but since I keep jumping from one point to another, I'll stop here. Give this game a chance if you haven't already and see for yourself what it feels like to be Batman!
